OmniSat-3 METEOSAT Transmitter
!!!! World's FIRST EUMETSAT certified High Data Rate Transmitter !!!
HRDCP Transmitters are technological game changers for DCP operators in need of robust message data integrity and/or substantially more message bytes within the EUMETSAT allocated time slot.
The HR Transmitters represent a quantum jump in technology when contrasted against the 1970's era Standard Rate Transmitters.
-
HRDCP's apply forward-error correction technology to the raw message data to produce a modern transmit waveform that is robust and virtually error-free.
-
A concatenated error-correction code
with a Convolutional Viterbi K=7, R=1/2 Inner code and Reed-Solomon (255,223) outer code with 3 blocks of interleaving is the basis for High Rate Transmitter waveform.
Signal Engineering’s OmniSat-3 METEOSAT Transmitter is certified for both Standard Rate (100bps) and High Rate (1200bps) by EUMETSAT.
The OmniSat-3 is Signal Engineering's universal hardware design that supports operation on different Meteorological satellites using
targeted firmware. The Transmitter supports both Timed and Random Reporting protocols.

Modern State of the Art Design
OmniSat-3 is designed for high reliability and long service life. Users will benefit from the
all-digital generation of the transmit Root-Raised Cosine filter and phase modulation ensuring time and temperature stability.
Monitoring of forward and reflected RF power at the Omnisat-3's antenna port allows quick assessment of site health.
The embedded GPS receiver stabilized internal time keeping and transmit frequency aided in long intervals between services.
The OmniSat-3's low standby current consumption places less demand on battery powered systems used at remote DCP installation sites.
